Facial surgery with consultant surgeon Mr Darryl Coombes, carried out in our own minor surgery room at Vale under local anaesthetic. Every procedure starts with a consultation with Mr Coombes himself.
Consultant surgeon, GMC Specialist Register · Under local anaesthetic, at Vale · CQC-registered for surgery

Vale has a fully equipped minor surgery room, so the procedures on this page are carried out here, under local anaesthetic, and you go home the same day.
You’ll meet Mr Coombes at your consultation. He’ll examine you, talk through what you’d like to change, explain what surgery can and can’t achieve, and go through the risks and recovery. You’ll have time to think before deciding, and there’s no obligation to go ahead.
A £250 consultation with Mr Coombes, who would carry out your surgery. He assesses you and explains your options, risks and costs.
We give you written information and recommend at least two weeks to reflect before booking surgery.
Carried out at Vale under local anaesthetic. You’re awake but the area is numb, and you go home the same day.
Clear aftercare instructions and follow-up appointments, so we can check your healing and answer any questions.
Cosmetic surgery is a big decision. It works best for people who are in good general health, have realistic expectations and are making the choice for themselves. If Mr Coombes doesn’t think surgery is likely to give you the result you’re hoping for, he’ll tell you, and he may suggest an alternative or no treatment at all.
You need to be 18 or over for cosmetic procedures.

No. These procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic, so you’re awake but the area is numb. Many people find this means a quicker recovery and no overnight stay.
All surgery carries risks, including bleeding, infection, scarring, swelling and bruising, and the possibility that you’re not happy with the result. Each procedure also has its own specific risks. Mr Coombes goes through these in detail at your consultation, and you’ll get them in writing.
It depends on the procedure. Swelling and bruising usually settle over one to two weeks, but final results can take several months. You’ll get specific advice for your procedure.
Interest-free finance over 12 months may be available for treatments over £1,500, subject to status.
