Injections for painful joints, tendons and the spine, guided by ultrasound so the medicine goes where it’s needed. Every injection treatment starts with an assessment, and many begin with a free consultation.
Free consultation booked online · Ultrasound-guided · Injection therapist and sports medicine doctor

Many joints and tendons sit deep under the skin, close to nerves and blood vessels. Ultrasound lets us see the area on screen while we inject, so the needle and medicine can be placed accurately.
It also means we can look at the problem before treating it. Sometimes the scan shows that a different treatment would suit you better, and we’ll tell you if so.
Steroid, hyaluronic acid, Arthrosamid® and PRP, depending on your joint and what you’ve tried.
Including frozen shoulder, rotator cuff problems and bursitis.
Such as tennis elbow and other painful tendons, often alongside exercise or shockwave.
Selected spinal injections with Dr Gabriel Azzini, after a full assessment.
Book online. We discuss your symptoms, examine you and, where useful, scan the area with ultrasound.
We explain which injection, if any, is likely to help, with the costs, risks and alternatives.
Given under ultrasound guidance, usually with local anaesthetic. Most injections take only a few minutes.
We give you aftercare advice and check how you’re getting on, often with exercises to support your recovery.
After any injection, seek urgent medical advice if the area becomes increasingly hot, red, swollen and painful, or you develop a fever. These can be signs of infection, which is rare but needs prompt treatment.

I recently had an ultrasound guided cortisone injection with Gary… Gary took the time to explain everything clearly before the procedure which really put me at ease, not easy when you’re not a fan of needles! The process itself was essentially pain free.
Gary helped me with my frozen shoulder. He was very thorough, professional and informative. I was given a cortisone injection, which he talked me through. During the procedure he was calming and efficient.
I first saw Gary for a consultation regarding the arthritis in my knees with a view to having a hyaluronic acid injection. Gary was extremely knowledgeable and went through all the options before suggesting which would be the best option for me.
My mum had acute knee pain which has been treated at the clinic, she now has much better mobility and positive outlook due to the treatment received. Gary has been so helpful and supportive throughout the consultation and treatment.
I cannot thank Gary and Gabriel enough for the stem cell treatment they gave me. When I started my treatment my tendonitis was so bad in my elbows that I couldn’t carry my little children, drive the car or do my day job without getting in severe pain.

Most people find them more comfortable than expected. We usually numb the skin first, and ultrasound guidance helps us place the needle quickly and accurately.
Some soreness for a day or two is common. Less often, there may be a flare of pain, bruising or, rarely, infection. Each treatment has its own specific risks, which we explain before you decide.
It depends on the problem, how long you’ve had it and what you’ve already tried. That’s what the consultation is for, and we may suggest a non-injection treatment instead.
Usually, yes, depending on the area injected. We’ll advise you on the day.
