Your hair transplant takes place at Vale, under local anaesthetic, and usually takes one day. Here’s what to expect.
Free consultation first · GMC-registered surgeon · CQC-registered clinic on Vale Road
You meet Dr Shah to confirm your plan and hairline, and ask any last questions.
The donor and treatment areas are numbed. The injections can sting briefly; after that, most people feel only pressure.
Grafts are taken one by one from the donor area, then placed into the thinning areas. You’re awake throughout and can rest, read or watch something.
We check you’re well, give you written aftercare instructions and everything you need, and you go home the same day.
Breaks are built into the day, and you can eat, drink and use the toilet as needed. Because you’re awake, you can tell us at any time if you’re uncomfortable, and more local anaesthetic can be given.
